Ink Pens
There are assortment types of ink pens anywhere from Promotional Pens, Personalized Pens, Engraved Pens, Fountain Pens, Ballpoint Pens, Rollerball Pens, Cheap Pens, all the way to Expensive pens.
What are all these pens used for? Do they really have a purpose? Let’s take a little look see.
Promotional Pens can be used by different organizations for advertisements. For example if one was to go to a job fair you may receive a variety of pens with different company logos on it. This is a simple way for the company to get their name out there and in the example I give you for you to remember them by.
Personalized Pens can be used by companies as well to put the custom message on the pen which make great give always again at job fairs and other various locations.
Ballpoint Pens are pens that have a special formulated metal ball which releases fresh ink on every use.
Rollerball Pens a few advantages would be the inks have a greater range of colors and they tend to right finer lines as opposed to ballpoint pens.
You find Pens ranging a dollar or less all the way to the infamous Aurora Diamante which is known as the world’s most expensive pen which has a price tag of $1.3 million. It may have something to do with the 30 carats of De Beers diamonds it is covered on a solid platinum barrel.
It does not matter what you are doing from making out a grocery list to signing a bill into law. There will always be a pen to suit your needs.

Week 3 Post #1

Noise
I am a person that does not like a lot of noise so when I am in a crowded area and there are so many people talking it really drives me crazy. I believe it all stems from not being able to hear so well. Funny huh, I just said that noise bothers me but yet I claim I cannot hear very well. So, you must be asking yourself how in the world noise can bother you then. Good question, I wish myself I had the precise answer to that question. The only thing I can tell you when it is really quiet I can hear a pin drop but if you get a little noise going on around me it is very difficult for me to be able to hear without a little difficulty.
It very well may stem from when I was a youngster in the military and worked on heavy equipment for a living, I never wore hearing protection. This is very vital to keeping your hearing intact.
So, again you are wondering why in the world this guy would be telling us this. I think it might have a little to do with how much my car shakes when I am sitting at a red light and I hear a very loud thumping sound. I look to see what is making this entire racket, just to find a young person jamming out next to me and they have their car hi-fi sound system blasting away at full volume.
Again, this was me as a teenager so indeed this could have been the single cause to my hearing loss I have today.
If I were to send any one message out to our young people today it would have to be take care of yourself today because this same young body you possess today will be the same one you possess when you are a senior citizen and believe me you will want to make sure all your senses are fully intact when you get there.

Week 2 Post #2

Children
It never crosses your mind when you are a toddler to teenager that one day you will grow up and possibly have children of your very own. For most people this is a reality of the life cycle. If you are one of the blessed ones that do have children you will be able to relate to the following and if you are one of the children and not a parent at this point then this should be informational.
I never thought when I was a teenager running around and partying and staying out half the night that one day the tables would turn. I know as a youngster I could have and should have been a better son. We did not have the luxury of cells phones but home phones have been around for a long time so, there was no excuse for not keeping in touch and letting my parents know what I was doing and where I was at. I was too busy hanging out and having fun to worry about the little things like keeping them informed.
Back then if we weren’t drag racing we were hanging out at the arcades or drive in movie. Thinking back it was almost a weekly occurrence of running off and having fun and not worrying about anything and living for the moment.
At no time did I ever think that my parents would be worried about me if they did not hear from me or see me by the given time to be home. I did not give the consideration that they may have thought I could have been in an accident or worse. Living in a big city as I did, was I hurt or worse. I never once give a single simple consideration what was running through their minds by me not keeping them informed.
Well guess what I grew up and had three children of my own. Just think I had said the exact same things my parents did to me. You know, just the little things like where are you going? Who are you going to be with? What time will you be home? These are but a few of the things my children grew up listening to every time they went out the door.
Kids with the technology we have today there is no excuse for you to not keep your parents posted on where you are and if you are ok and if you are going to be late etc. These few little extra things you can do will make your parents rest better at night and you will find it will do you well down the road when that day comes when you are called mom or dad.

Week 2 Post #1 -- Office Politics

Office Politics
I wonder if when you went on that interview you so prepared yourself for if you had any idea that if you got hired for the position there would be more to go with the job then just doing the job itself well.
In today’s corporate world office politics play a very large roll in your advancement in any particular company. You can be very proficient in your job and get passed over for promotion time after time as you watch your fellow colleagues get the position even when they have absolutely no idea what they are doing.
In most situations it is not what you know it is who you know. So, if you are not goofing off and cracking up bad jokes with the individuals that do the hiring in your department you are almost certain that you are doomed for fast advancement or any at all in severe situations.
Knowledge in itself is just not enough in today’s work place you have to go that extra mile to succeed. If you want to be successful in the corporate world jump right in feet first never take no for an answer if it has to do with your job advancement. Remember the only person that is truly going to look out for your best interest is you. You should never lie idly by and allow others to dictate to you your sense of worth. If you do you will only have yourself to blame down the road.
In closing, when going in for that job interview don’t be nervous just keep your head up and your shoulders back and remember you are there for you first and if you want to succeed carry that attitude on your shoulders this will show in your confidence level and you will find you will be successful and get precisely out of that job you wanted and perhaps more.
Good luck.
